LAFAC Inaugurates Its Solar Photovoltaic Plant: A Decisive Step Toward Energy Sustainability | Lafac - Sands - Pavers - Natural Products

In a strong commitment to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future, LAFAC has inaugurated a new solar photovoltaic plant at its facilities. This plant, located on a covered roof with a surface area of 2073 square meters, represents a significant advance in the transition towards renewable energy sources.

Equipped with 808 solar panels from the prestigious Canadian Solar brand with 550 Wp and four Sungrow SG110CX three-phase inverters, the plant is outfitted with the latest technology for efficient capture and conversion of solar energy. With a fully integrated monitoring system, we ensure optimal performance in energy generation.

This photovoltaic installation, with a capacity of 440 kWp, allows LAFAC to cover a significant portion of its energy consumption with 100% renewable energy. With an estimated annual production of 602,643.71 kWh, we are taking a decisive step towards reducing our carbon footprint and preserving the environment.

To ensure energy availability during periods without solar irradiation, we have implemented a BeePlanet Power battery with a capacity of 460 kWh that stores excess energy for later use. This will allow us to maintain continuous operations and minimize our dependence on non-renewable energy sources.

Through this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The solar photovoltaic plant not only

allows us to practically cover all of our energy consumption, but it also contributes to mitigating climate change and promoting a cleaner and more efficient energy model.

This installation has been funded by the European Union through the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan as part of its incentives program for self-consumption and storage, using renewable energy funds to implement renewable thermal systems in the residential sector.
